Miles for Maddie and Dedication to Dan
Sweet, sassy, beautiful, and so very special are all words that describe Maddie. Just thinking of her brings a smile to your face, and we all think of her often. Maddie always saw the good in people, and she once wrote, “My gift is to share.” Maddie’s gift to us is her love. The love she gave as a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, and friend is with us every day and fills our hearts. Her gift to the world was the organs she donated to help others. We walk and run to honor those gifts.
Caring, considerate, fun, and brave are words to describe Dan. Quietly strong, and with a big heart, his passion was his friends and family - always excited to spend time together, always looking to lift someone up when he could. Dan was also a student volunteer at the NJ Sharing Network in 2017 helping with the 5K Celebration of Life preparations. He attended the 5K every year as part of team Miles for Maddie in honor of his little sister who gave the gift of life. We pay tribute to Dan’s commitment to the 5K and NJSN, love for his sister Maddie, and kindness to all those around him.
