Sunday June 9th - Join Team Hope Wolf
Hi! Thank you SO much for supporting Team Hope Wolf! Whether you are joining us for the Walk or Run on June 9th and/or donating to this amazing cause, we are incredibly thankful and blessed by you!
Hope's Story: In 2013 we discovered our sweet baby girl had severe skeletal problems, the greatest of which affected her ribs, which therefore affected her lungs from properly developing. We didnt know what her life would look like but knew that it wouldn't be long. We carried her to full term hoping she would be a candidate for organ donation.
On February 6, 2014, defying all odds, we heard the most beautiful little cry. They placed her on my chest and I told her how loved she is, about her big sister, Emily, about Heaven and Jesus and how she would meet Him soon. We left the OR and Hope met my parents and Jared's parents. I'm so grateful they got to meet and hold her. About 90 minutes after birth, Hope slipped peacefully from my arms and into Heaven. It was both the hardest and most beautiful moment. She remains a big part of our family and celebrations. Her pictures and name can be found throughout our home. My favorite picture of her is her Floragraph, which hangs in our Dining Room. Don't know what a Floragraph is? Read on, my friend!
Before the world shut down, we gathered with a million other people on Colorado Blvd. to watch the Rose Bowl Parade on January 1, 2020. Our Hope was being honored as a Floragragh featured on the Donate Life Float. A floragraph is a picture made from 100% organic material. This was one of the most incredible moments of my life. What an unbelievable honor it was for our family to attend, participate and honor our Hope in such a special way. The theme of the 2020 parade was "The Power of Hope", and her name was everywhere you looked. I am forever grateful and thankful to the NJ Sharing Network for guiding us through the donation process, their help in keeping Hope's legacy alive, and continuing to shine a spotlight on the incredible need and gift of organ donation.
Though very short, Hope's life was significant, blessed and filled with love.
We are blessed to call her ours.
