My brother, Robert, passed away in October of 2004, one day after his 11th birthday. He was hit by a negligent driver in our neighborhood the day prior.
Prior to the accident, Robert had seen on my mom's drivers license that she was an organ donor. He asked what they meant and she told him. He immediately told her that he wanted to do that and when he was old enough to drive he would put that on his license.
Unfortunately, Robert's injuries were so severe that he was unable to donate life. For this reason, we WALK. We CELEBRATE Robert's life by raising awareness and funds to help save individuals and families through the gift of life. Robert (RB) is a Donor in Spirit.
The Sharing Network 5K is a celebration of life and remembrance not only for Robert, but a way to honor, pay tribute, offer hope and raise awareness for the gift of life.
